Reading Rainbow’ Is Officially Headed For Netflix in August. As a parent I am elated that this series that was a highlight of my childhood will be able to be shared by my kids. Now this is simply rebroadcasts of the original series but most books are timeless.  We have also included a list of the new movies and series coming to the streaming service in August.  A few highlights on the series side are the following “Dancing on the Edge”, a drama set in the early 1930s, following a black jazz band in London at a time of change.  I enjoyed this slow burn.  Season 3 of “The Real Husbands of Hollywood”.  This series created by Kevin Hart is a must for any fans of reality TV or of comedy. BET calls this the “fakest reality show ever”. It stars Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove and Nelly, among others. Episodes feature guest appearances by entertainments’ top stars including Jay Leno, Ed O’Neill, Shaquille O’Neal, Faizon Love, Common, Trey Songz and Cedric the Entertainer. The final series I want to highlight is Narcos. Narcos is a crime drama television series produced by Netflix. The series was created by Chris Brancato, Eric Newman, and Carlo Bernard. It is a serialized take on drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel. In true Netflix form all 10 episodes of will drop on August 28th.
